Nicolette Johnson is a Brooklyn-based artist practicing mixed media collage, sound, and film, often incorporated into single installations. Drawing from personal experiences, her violently chaotic style addresses gender politics, the climate crisis, racism, and class divides, and their historical underpinnings from a queer, intersectional perspective. As a queer woman, her works seeks to offer radical catharsis for communities experiencing overt marginalization. Nicolette holds a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
